One of the most popular bicycle tours in Bratislava and its surroundings is the route along the Danube dike. It is the most visited one. You can choose the length of your tour according to your bicycling abilities. You can cross the Danube river by the river ferry and return to Bratislava along the other side of the river, or you can continue up to the town Gabčíkovo, easily get to the other bank of the Danube river and return to Bratislava. This tour is longer than 100 km.
In the case you are a recreational cyclist, you can just go to Čunovo to see the areal of water sports or to visit the Museum of Modern Art, and then return to Bratislava.
Your tour starts under the SNP bridge and continues on the asphalt bicycle road, which is the part of the Danube bicycle route with the origin in Passau, leading through Vienna and Bratislava up to Budapest. Gradually, on the asphalt road, you’ll arrive to the areal of water sports (water channel for rafting and canoe slalom) in Čunovo, and then you can visit the Museum of Modern Art Danubiana.
