We’ll leave Bratislava in the morning, because in the afternoon we want to do a first hike. Early afternoon we’ll arrive to High Tatras, check in and go to the hills 🙂
The hike to the Huge waterfall
Starý Smokovec – Hrebienok – Reinerova hut – Obrovský Vodopád – Zamkovského hut and back.
Easy hike suitable also for less experienced tourists. We can take a cableway to Hrebienok, and from there, we can do some nice walks to the cottages Reinerova hut and Zamkovského hut. On the way back, we’ll stop by the waterfalls called Vodopády Studeného potoka.
Difficulty level: easy, suitable also for the families with children.
Duration: 2 hours from Hrebienok in total
The hike to the mountain lake Zelené pleso
Day-long family hike.
Route: Tatranská Lomnica/Biela voda – Dolina Bielych plies – Chata pri Zelenom plese and back.
We will start this trip from Biela voda point crossing the valley called Dolina Zeleného plesa. It is very nice and relaxing hike. Chata pri Zelenom plese (mountain cottage), as well as the lake itself with the scenery of huge peaks of Kežmarský štít and Jastrabia veža, offer an amazing experience from this hike.
Difficulty: easy to moderate
Duration: approximately 6 hours
The hike to Skok waterfalls
From Štrbské pleso, we will go to Mlynická dolina. It is a very nice hike, in which we will come to the waterfall called Skok just after 2 hours of slow and easy walk.
The hike consists of 4 kilometers of an easy, but also a little bit more difficult terrain in Tatras. The route is full of stones; it leads through the woods, dwarf pines and ends by the waterfalls. The hike itself is very interesting, and children will surely not get bored.
Route and duration: Štrbské pleso – Skok waterfalls and back approximately 3,5 hours.
After this tour we’ll move to Bratislava/Vienna.
