High Tatras National Parks is one of the most popular and most visited places in Slovakia. Many miles marked hiking and biking paths are ideal for tourists. During spring you should experience the rafting under the Slovak national peak, Kriváň.
Rafting in High Tatras, the biggest Slovakia mountains is on the river Belá – the most beautiful and wildest rafting in Slovakia on this river. It is possible to raft the river only during spring when the snow melts (April-May).
This rafting belongs to the experiences you won’t ever forget thanks to its rich nature. It is marked as middle to very difficult. The rafting’s part is 17 kilometers long and it takes more than 2 hours. Rafting begins in Podbanské village and then it continues through the villages Pribylina and Vavrišovo. It ends in Liptovský Hrádok where you can change your clothes, we’ll pick you up and go to the hotel.
Rafting on river Dunajec. This rafting is in National Park Pieniny, next to the Tatras mountains. It is instead of Bela river (May – October).
This river is not only for advanced rafters but also for beginners, it is marked as easy raft. This canyon is the biggest and purest in the middle Europe and it is also a border between Slovakia and Poland. On your way through the smallest National park in Slovakia, you will see a panoramic view on the mountain “Three coins” with the highest hill called “Okrunglica”. You will experience rafting through the narrowest part of the river: width is only 10 meters.
In the afternoon we’ll go for a bike to the valley Kôprová dolina.
The ascent is moderate and easy; the route leads by good-quality asphalt, so it is suitable also for bicycles for transporting the children, and possibly you can see there also parents with baby carriages.
The bicycle route ends by the Kmeťov vodopád – the highest waterfall in High Tatras with the height of 80 meters.
The valley Kôprová dolina is 12 kilometers long and lies on the border of High and West Tatras. It has many side valleys providing the burrows and food for many kinds of animals (brown bear, bobcat, wild wolf, eagle, etc.) and suitable biotopes for the unique and protected kinds of plants. This is the place, where bears really live! If you were at this place early in the morning or late in the evening, it is highly probable that you will meet at least one of them.
